Our Japanese-made tatami mats, woven from natural igusa grass from Kyushu, feature a beautiful, minimalist design and are lightweight and easy to use. The tatami itself exudes a grassy fragrance and acts as a natural air purifier and humidity regulator.

  • Natural igusa absorbs moisture three times more effectively than cotton, lowering body temperature and promoting restful sleep. 
  • This natural igusa from Kyushu has been treated with an antibacterial and odor-resistant finish to reduce odor and purify the air. 
  • The surface is repeatedly refinished for a soft and smooth feel. 
  • This foldable tatami mat can be used as both a rug and a mattress, making it easy to store. 
  • Ultra-lightweight and conveniently designed for storage, it can be easily transformed into a bedroom space with a futon.

Cleaning Instructions:
Before use, wipe both sides of the rush mat with a damp, wrung-out cloth, following the grain of the igusa. Wipe frequently with a towel to keep the mat clean and smooth. When humidity is high, ventilate the room.

Storage Method: 
Allow to air dry in a cool, ventilated, dry place. Store in a moisture-proof bag in a dark place. Avoid heavy pressure.

Precautions:
Do not wash. Do not expose the product to high temperatures. Do not contact with detergents, laundry detergent, or other acids, bases, or oils. Do not expose to direct sunlight. Avoid contact with hard objects to avoid scratching the mat.
